Kristyn Vermeesch, MPP
Kristyn Vermeesch is a Senior Project Manager in the Department of Urology at the University of Michigan. Previously, Kristyn worked at Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan analyzing and developing provider payment policies. In addition to broad payer knowledge, Kristyn has a deep background in health policy. After graduating from Michigan State University with a degree in Interdisciplinary Studies of Social Science, Kristyn worked in Washington, D.C. for the U.S. Senate Committee on Health, Education, Labor and Pensions as a Professional Staff Member focusing on health policy and investigations. She subsequently managed the labor, health and education appropriations portfolio for Congressman Jack Kingston of Georgia. During this time, she completed a master’s degree in Public Policy at George Mason University.
